NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

 The National Service Scheme (NSS) is one of India’s most significant student-led initiatives, aimed at developing the personality and character of the youth through voluntary community service. Launched in 1969—the birth centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi—it operates under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The core philosophy of the NSS is captured in its iconic motto: "Not Me, But You."
